20 MUST DO Things that gonna give Ur Life an edge!!

Hello everyone!

Today let me start by telling you about this obsession we have with numbers. More often We tend to read the articles which have headings like 1001things, 10ways, 9quick recipes, etc. Studies show that With this obsession we even tend to follow whats being read!

So let me introduce to you :
MY LIST OF 20 MUST DO THINGS FOR A HAPPY AND SUCCESSFUL LIFE! - 20 Sureshot ways.. Tried and Tested!!

For Me, Success is Happiness. But Happiness is not only Success!

So go on to know more.. But please take time to read the full content atleast one time.

1. SMILE , LAUGH OFTEN :

We all know that Laughing is the best medicine. But often we tend to forget taking the medication regularly. So make it a point to Laugh n Smile often. Watching some comedy video clip, telling a joke to somebody, reminding yourself a funny incident happened etc., are some of the easiest ways.

Studies even show that Laughing and being happy are associated with better immunity system, emotional stability, reduced risk of heart attacks n strokes and many more.

No matter if it's Sunshine or Rain,
Do whatever it takes you to SMILE ! :)

2. EXERCISE IN NATURE :

Nature is best stress reliever. Getting out in Nature and Exercising both have become Compulsory. So why not combine both and start Exercising in Nature?

Rather than sweating out on some machine in a closed room, an early morning walk in nature is much better!! We will get da required Vit D from warm rays of sun, burn our calories and also get some peace of mind.

My advice is: Dont even plug in ur earphones. Listen to the nature and ur body while exercising. Enjoy every moment of that happy relationship between ur body and nature. N Dont Forget to Smile!! :)

3. EAT & DRINK HEALTHY  :

This has become the real task nowadays. We feel that its better to skip the meals than to Eat healthy, right? For gods sake, Do NOT skip Breakfast. Its very important to eat right. Healthy is Tasty too!

Try eating a portion of fresh fruits each day for 3 days a week and do the same with raw veggies. You will surely find the difference. Try changing cooking oils every month - try a rotation of sunflower oil, ricebran oil n other vegetable oils.

Ladies, forget different cosmetics for a great looking skin. Try Eating Right and Drink enough Water. Watch the Look!

4. SLEEP TIGHT  :

Sleeping well is also very important coz it makes you feel fresh and cool. Good sleep is a sign of healthy person. Having a Good night's sleep is associated with optimism and good behaviour.

Dont hesitate to take naps whenever needed. Naps aren't for the Lazy. It is one of the habits of the Most Successful people. Napping reduces stress, helps to clean the stuff we dont want. It also helps us work on the ideas when we are asleep.

P.S. : Rather than sleeping in a dark room, try sleeping with a small blue bulb on, in ur room. Studies proved that it helps for a peaceful sleep.

5. KNOW WHAT YOU ARE :

Take time to know what you are, who you are and what you are good at. Ignore your weaknesses and work on your strengths. One can't be good at all things. Try knowing your areas of interest. Explore all the possible opportunities.

Nobody is Perfect. But Striving for Perfection takes us to the Mountain top called Excellence.

6. CHALLENGE YOURSELF :

You want to be succesful when you are at 60-80% on the scale. When learning is too hard, we quit. When its too easy..well then we quit too. So Always be upping the challenges to be in that 60-80% zone!!

Learning a new language - makes mind sharp.
Music lessons - build intelligence.
Challenging your beliefs - strengthen mind.

Taking advantage of Opportunities → building Willpower → increase Effort a little more each day → Success!

7. BE UNCOMFORTABLE :

You learn the Best when are Uncomfortable..when you dont want to stay in that same spot..when you want to reach new heights.

You want to be stretched to the edge of your ability. It should be harder, then that will make you smarter!

At that uncomfortable stage, you try, u struggle, reaching over and over, falling, making mistakes, realising and reaching again!

8. BE BUSY  :

A relentless pace of work makes you Excel. Keep yourself busy. As we all know, An idle mind is Devil's workshop. Remember, Success is not Winning the Race. Success is being in the Race. Try doing all things productive. Do not waste time on unnecessary things.

"Sooner or Later," Pritchett said, " the great men turn out to be all alike. They never stop working. They will never lose a minute - it is very depressing."

9. LEARN TO SAY 'NO'  :

Warren Buffet says, "The difference between successful people and very successful people is that Very Successful People say 'NO' to almost everything. And thats what gives them the Time to accomplish so much."

Say NO to every distraction. When its the time to Achieve something big, learn to Focus right.

10. MAKE AWESOME MISTAKES :

"Failure is Essential."  Losers will like this coz it makes them feel better. Winners will love it coz they know thats how they are going to learn.

Dont be afraid to experiment. If you fail, dont hesitate to learn from ur mistakes. Experimenting helps you open up to be more creative which inturn, hopefully, opens up new opportunities.

Solving problems the same way takes you nowhere. Even if the new way gets you down, it opens up the new ways and challenges the determination in you.

11. HAVE GRIT :

Grit is Perseverance, Patience. Intelligence and Creativity are Great but its the Grit which takes you to places.

You cant Quit coz the road got narrower,
Have Grit coz the Hope shines Brighter!!

When the going gets Tough,
the Tough get going!!

12. FIND MENTORS :

Watching the Best people work is one of the most Motivating and Inspiring thing to do. Closely observe what Winners do. Its how you were built to learn. Study the Best to Be the Best!

You need someone who has been there to show you the ropes, to make activity fun, and to mak you win!

13. CREATE GOOD LUCK :

Yes, you read it right! Luck isn't Magical - it is a science!

Certain personality traits are luckier coz they work in a way that maximizes their chances for great opportunities.

Being more outgoing, open to new ideas, following hunches and being positive are some of the scientifically proven methods to increase luck. (Read Richard Wiseman's book - Luck Factor and pass the book to me too!)

Creating possibilities is Creating Luck!

14. BE OPTIMISTIC :

Have a positive approach towards Life. Whatever happens, Strongly believe that its for your own good. Have Faith and Believe that you are Lucky!

Never Lose Hope. Hope is that bright light which shows you the right path  even in the narrowest roads and darkest forests!

Optimism is known to be associated with Mental toughness, happiness and health.

15. KEEP A JOURNAL :

Write in a Book, your ideas, dreams and goals. Write the progress u achieved everyday. That makes it easy to know your high points and low points.

Top performers set goals, track their progress, reflect and learn from mistakes.

Use it to plan your day. Winners Schedule their Priorities. They dont Prioritize their Schedules.

16. HAVE EMPATHY  :

Learn to empathise with others. Learn to be sensitive to other's needs, feelings and deeds. Placing yourself in other's shoes and reacting likewise, acting/reacting sensibly help us nurture social relations. Sometimes, its better to be a heart person than a head one.

17. SPEND TIME WITH FAMILY & FRIENDS :

Spending time with loved ones is known to keep us happy, reduce stress and make us healthy.

Its better to share our stress than to vent it on somebody. Be Happy and Smiling when you are with your family. Dont let your work/study stress spoil your relations. Learn to leave those stressful issues outside your house door.

Realise that we are not the only ones to have stress. Everyone in family and friends face problems in their respective level. So just forget everything and be happy when you are around them. Make them laugh. Show Empathy.

18. HAVE GRATITUDE :

Realise that if you are on time for something, its not ur sole greatness. But attribute it to everyone around you who helped you to be there.

Count your blessings. Thank your wellwishers. Reciprocate if you can. Show gratitude whenever possible. Be grateful.

Thank you and sorry are just small words. But they have the power to destroy all our useless egos. Be kind. Be thankful. That makes you content.

19. MEDITATE / PRAY DAILY  :

Believe in Miracles. Believe you can Do. Meditate daily for inner tranquility. If you believe in God, take some time everyday to pray and thank him.

Studies show that Meditating atleast 20mins a day reduce anger, anxiety, depression, fatigue and stress. It is known to increase the attention span, mental health and happiness.

20. COMMIT TO LONGTERM :

Want to start something? Commit yourself to do it for Longterm. Merely Committing to the long haul had huge effects. Commitment is the difference maker. People who combined commitment with a little extra effort - their skills went off the charts!

P.S. : I am not a Pro in all these 20 Must Do Things. I am an Amatuer too who desperately wants to change my Life for good. So as my List says to commit Longterm, I want to follow this 20 point rule for a term of 100 days from today and enjoy the benefits.
